A few years ago, I started reading books on self-development and growth. At the time, I was not very confident about myself.
My dad started giving me inspiring books to boost my self-confidence and inner-power. Now, I have a shelf full of motivational and incredibly interesting books. I would like to share them with you today.
(Please bear in mind that this post is not sponsored in any way. Thank you!)
3 Tips to read efficiently:
1. Sit comfortably and listen to soft music. Lie on your bed, sit at your desk or in a chair, with your back straight. Turn off your phone, close your bedroom door and tell your younger (or older) sibling not to disturb you. Choose soft and calming music to listen to: it will help you concentrate and will clear your mind when you are reading.
2. Keep a notebook next to you. It is really helpful to write down important things you have read, either inspirational quotes, paragraphs or tips. If you do not want to write every thing down, use a highlighter: highlight the keywords and important phrases. Sticky notes are also useful to mark the pages you want to remember.
3. Read the book again and again. Come back to your bookshelf every month or so, choose a book and read it again. It is the only way to make you remember the important things inside the books.
